The owner, Barton (Bart) Houseworth has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry.  Having previously worked for an HVAC company in Columbia for a number of years, Bart has been around residential construction his entire adult life.  During his career in HVAC, Bart worked with many high-volume builders that quickly built cookie-cutter homes.  Bart saw the need for higher quality residential construction.  In 2004, we formed Houseworth Homes, LLC to fill this void in the housing market.  Bart was determined to never build a home that he would not want to live in himself.  Some examples include: using house wrap and cellulose insulation to reduce air infiltration and increase energy efficiency, using high efficiency HVAC systems, and using stronger subfloor materials that prevent swelling from moisture.  Most importantly, Bart has an excellent attention to detail and uses the highest quality of craftsmanship in all of his homes.  He takes a hands on approach and all parts of the construction phases must meet his strict standards.  In short, he takes the time necessary to make sure everything is done right on all of his homes.

Bart is originally from Carrollton, Missouri where most of his family still reside.  Bart has been married for 9 years to Julie Houseworth.  Julie is originally from Bowling Green, Missouri where most of her family still reside.  They have two sons, Owen, 7 years old and Wyatt 4 years old.  Julie works in Columbia at a large community bank as the Assistant Vice President of Accounting.  Besides keeping busy with their two children, Bart is an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf, and playing pool.
